Director of Events and Conventions

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled professional to lead our events and conventions team at Marriott International. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality industry, with a focus on event planning and management.
Roles and Responsibility
- Oversee all aspects of events and conventions, including venue selection, catering, and entertainment.
- Develop and implement event concepts, themes, and layouts to ensure successful execution.
- Manage event budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve desired outcomes.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless event logistics.
- Conduct market research and analyze event trends to stay ahead of the competition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align events with business objectives.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning and management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of event marketing, sales, and operations principles.
- Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Familiarity with event technology, software, and tools is desirable.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills to drive event success.
