Position Overview: The Planning Manager - Civil is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of civil engineering projects within the organization. This role requires strategic oversight of project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful delivery of infrastructure and development projects.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Management Lead the development of comprehensive project plans for civil engineering initiatives, including site development, infrastructure improvements, and construction projects. Establish project timelines, milestones, and deliverables while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders. Monitor project progress and implement corrective measures when necessary to maintain schedule adherence.Resource Coordination Manage allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials across multiple civil projects. Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely acquisition of necessary resources. Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.Stakeholder Management Serve as primary liaison between engineering teams, project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to senior leadership. Coordinate with local authorities for permit acquisition and regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycles.Quality Assurance & Compliance Ensure all civil engineering projects meet applicable building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Conduct regular project reviews and quality assessments. Maintain documentation for regulatory reporting and audit requirements.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in civil engineering project management. Strong proficiency in project management software and CAD applications. Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven ability to manage cross-functional teams.Preferred Experience: Experience with municipal infrastructure projects, site development, or large-scale construction initiatives. Knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes.
