Job Description
Job Description – Project Planning & Controls (Airside and Landside)
Job Title: Associate Manager / Manager-Project Planning & Controls – Airside and Landside
Location: Bengaluru
Job Type: Full-time
Department: Infrastructure – Projects
Reports To: Lead – Project Planning & Controls, CPO Office
Role Overview:
We are hiring a sharp, process-driven, and technically strong Project Planning & Controls professional to take end-to-end ownership of planning, scheduling, MIS, and project control functions across Airside and Landside infrastructure packages.
The role is a key driver of performance for the overall airport program—offering a high-visibility position that demands analytical depth, proactive leadership, and coordination across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling
Prepare and manage integrated master schedules (L1–L5) for Airside and Landside works including taxiways, roads, utilities, apron, drainage, and support infra.
Generate detailed look-ahead schedules, identify critical activities, float, and key dependencies.
Conduct regular schedule health checks, variance analysis, and flag delays proactively.
Support the preparation of execution plans, mobilization strategies, and phasing/staging sequences, especially in live operational environments.
Project Controls & Performance Tracking
Establish and track physical progress, earned value, and productivity metrics package-wise.
Monitor key KPIs including Planned vs Actual Progress, Critical Path, Resource Utilization, and Cost vs Time Performance.
Develop recovery plans for delayed works, with ownership of driving corrective action with execution teams.
MIS & Reporting
Own and manage the Project MIS Dashboard – prepare structured weekly, fortnightly, and monthly reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Maintain real-time data repositories with proper audit trails—covering timelines, progress, risks, procurement status, and interfacing activities.
Use tools like Power BI, Excel, and Primavera exports to build smart, data-driven decision dashboards.
Support management with presentation decks, trend analysis, and package-wise summary updates.
Interface & Coordination
Coordinate across design, execution, commercial, procurement, utility, and statutory teams to ensure schedule alignment.
Maintain interfaces between airside–landside–terminal–utilities–MEP teams for seamless project delivery.
Participate in contractor review meetings, technical discussions, and stage gate approvals with data support.
Process Implementation & Controls
Assist in standardizing and implementing planning processes—from concept to commissioning—aligned to the overall airport project controls framework.
Support in preparation of time impact analysis, delay justifications, and claims defence.
Contribute to the improvement of planning tools, templates, and process automation.
Qualifications & Experience:
B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
Postgraduate diploma or certifications in Project Management, Construction Planning preferred.
Minimum 8-12 years of hands-on experience in Project Planning & Controls in large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in airport or transportation sector.
Expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, and Power BI is essential.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM, and engineering coordination tools is a strong advantage.
Experience in planning live airport projects or working under operational constraints will be highly valued.
Core Competencies:
Strong grasp of planning logic, sequencing, dependencies, and construction processes.
Ability to think critically, own outcomes, and independently manage planning cycles.
High ownership mindset for data accuracy, reporting discipline, and on-ground tracking.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills.
Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
