Job Title: Head Communications
Department: Corporate Communications / MD Office
Reports To: Managing Director
Job Purpose
To lead and manage all internal and external communications of the institution, ensuring a strong, consistent brand image and effective stakeholder engagement across campuses.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with institutional goals.
- Act as the official communication lead for the institution across all platforms.
- Oversee internal communications to staff, faculty, students, and parents.
- Manage external communications including media relations, press releases, and public announcements.
- Ensure consistency of messaging and branding across campuses and departments.
- Handle crisis communication and reputation management in coordination with senior leadership.
- Supervise content creation for websites, social media, newsletters, brochures, and advertisements.
- Coordinate with admissions, academics, HR, and leadership teams for institutional communication needs.
- Manage social media presence and digital communication channels.
- Approve all official communications, circulars, and public-facing content.
- Monitor public perception and media coverage; prepare communication reports.
- Liaise with external agencies, media partners, and vendors.
- Support admission campaigns, events, and institutional initiatives through strategic communication.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional communication guidelines.
Qualification & Experience
- Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in communications, preferably in education or large institutions.
- Proven experience in managing teams and institutional branding.
