Job description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients (individual investors, HNWIs, institutions).
  • Understand clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
  • Provide personalized investment advice and recommend appropriate mutual fund schemes (equity, debt, hybrid, etc.) based on clients' needs.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and address any issues or queries.
  • Portfolio Management and Advisory:
  • Provide clients with on-going advice regarding the performance of their mutual fund investments.
  • Review and monitor clients' portfolios and recommend adjustments based on changes in market conditions, personal goals, or risk appetite.
  • Stay updated on fund performance, market trends, and new products, sharing insights with clients.
  • Assist clients with portfolio diversification strategies to maximize returns while managing risks.
  • Sales and Business Development:
  • Promote and sell mutual fund products to new and existing clients.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and contribute to the business's revenue growth.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities for other financial products, such as SIPs, insurance, or wealth management services.
  • Conduct seminars, webinars, and client engagement activities to generate new leads.
  • Client Education:
  • Educate clients on the benefits and risks of mutual fund investing, as well as various investment strategies.
  • Help clients understand complex financial concepts, offering them solutions in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Provide information about tax benefits, investment timelines, and mutual fund NAVs.
  • Transaction Support:
  • Assist clients in executing transactions such as investments, redemptions, switches, and systematic investment plans (SIPs).
  • Ensure smooth and timely processing of transactions in compliance with regulations.
  • Handle documentation, KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, and account management requirements.
  • Market Research:
  • Continuously monitor the mutual fund market, economic trends, and new product offerings.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to recommend optimal investment strategies.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies for mutual fund transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records of client meetings, communications, and transactions.
  • Follow the company's best practices for documentation, client on boarding, and KYC.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
  • Post-graduate degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CFP, AMFI certification) is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or relationship management, preferably in the mutual fund or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record in managing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of mutual fund products, financial markets, and investment strategies.
  • Sales-oriented with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Analytical skills to assess market trends and client needs.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients.
  • Certifications:
  • AMFI Certification (for mutual fund distribution in India) or relevant certifications for other regions.
  • Other certifications, such as CFA or CFP, are advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
