Position Overview
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for driving revenue growth through the sales and promotion of electronic components and subsystem solutions. This role combines strong technical acumen with strategic sales execution to support customers in designing, sourcing, and integrating advanced electronic technologies. The ideal candidate will build long-term customer relationships and serve as a trusted technical advisor across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
· Identify and qualify new business opportunities with OEMs, EMS providers, and design houses.
· Provide technical expertise and product recommendations for electronic components, subsystems, and related technologies.
· Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to deliver optimized customer solutions.
· Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, and training sessions for customers.
· Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and technical documentation in alignment with customer requirements.
· Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and new technology developments to inform sales strategies.
· Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, follow-up, and support throughout the sales cycle.
· Maintain accurate records of opportunities, forecasts, and account activities using CRM tools.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline.
· Minimum of 3–7 years of experience in technical sales, field applications, or component distribution.
· Strong knowledge of semiconductors, passive components, electromechanical devices, and embedded systems.
· Proven ability to translate complex technical solutions into business value for customers.
· Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Experience managing key accounts and working with global supplier partners.
· Proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Attributes
· Experience supporting design-in activities for OEM and EMS customers.
· Familiarity with applications in aerospace, defense, industrial automation, telecommunications, or consumer electronics.
· Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales and profitability targets.
· Ability to travel to customer sites, supplier meetings, and industry trade shows as required.
