Position Overview:

We are looking for a Factory Manager / Plant Manager to lead and oversee complete factory operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for procurement, production, inward and outward logistics, dispatch, quality, and plant administration. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in managing end-to-end factory operations in a fast-paced FMCG or food & beverage manufacturing environment.

Note - Interview Rounds are F2F.

Key Responsibilities:

Factory Operations Management

  • Manage overall daily operations of the manufacturing plant
  • Ensure all production, packaging, and dispatch targets are met efficiently and on time
  • Monitor workflow across departments and ensure continuous production
  • Ensure optimal use of manpower, machinery, and raw materials

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

  • Plan and ensure timely procurement of raw materials, packaging material, and consumables
  • Liaise with approved vendors for pricing, quality, and timely delivery
  • Maintain minimum inventory levels while avoiding shortages or delays in production

Inward & Outward Logistics

  • Supervise all inward goods: raw materials, packaging, and consumables
  • Ensure proper inventory management using stock inward/outward registers or software
  • Oversee outward logistics: packaging, loading, dispatch, and delivery documentation
  • Coordinate with the sales/logistics team to fulfill customer and B2B orders on time

Production Management

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production schedules
  • Supervise production staff, line supervisors, and shift operators
  • Ensure consistency in product quality and batch accuracy
  • Minimize wastage and breakdown time through preventive maintenance

Quality & Compliance

  • Implement and oversee quality control procedures at every stage
  • Ensure full compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, ISO, and company SOPs
  • Coordinate internal and external audits (regulatory, buyer, etc.)
  • Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards across the facility

Team Leadership & Administration

  • Recruit, train, and manage factory staff across all departments
  • Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity standards
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, overtime tracking, and manpower planning
  • Foster a positive and safety-oriented working environment

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for senior management
  • Monitor KPIs (production output, rejection rates, material variance, etc.)
  • Identify bottlenecks and suggest improvements for efficiency
  • Lead cost control initiatives across departments

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations, Food Technology, or a related field
  • 510 years of relevant experience in a factory management / plant operations role
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG/food industry manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with raw material procurement, production scheduling, and inventory control
  • Hands-on experience with quality systems and regulatory compliance (FSSAI, HACCP, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills
  • Comfortable using basic factory management software, MS Excel, and reporting tools
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and take ownership
