Role SummaryAs the Area Sales Manager – General Trade for Karnataka, you'll lead sales growth, distributor expansion, and retail activation across the state. You'll manage and mentor sales teams, drive monthly targets, and be a key player in building Meechu's retail presence in baby stores, chemists, and kiranas.
Key Responsibilities- Own sales targets and GT expansion across Karnataka.
- Build and manage a network of distributors, sub-stockists, and retail partners.
- Lead, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers and TSEs.
- Drive numeric and weighted distribution across channels (pharmacies, baby stores, GT outlets).
- Conduct regular beat plans, market visits, and reviews.
- Execute visibility, sampling, and trade marketing activities.
- Track secondary and tertiary sales with daily/weekly/monthly MIS.
- 5–8 years of GT experience in FMCG/Pharma/Baby Care (2+ years as ASM in Karnataka).
- Proven expertise in distributor handling, team management, and retail activation.
- Deep knowledge of Karnataka's market — especially Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Mangalore.
- Fluent in Kannada (must); Hindi/English preferred.
- Hands-on with Excel, CRM, and reporting tools.
