Position Title: Head Human Resources(Retail or Gems & Jewellery Industry)
Department: Human Resources & Administration
Location: Head Office, Nagpur
Reporting To: Managing Director / CEO
Supervises: HR Team (Recruitment, L&D, Payroll, Admin, Store HR, etc.)
1. Position Purpose
To provide strategic and operational leadership to the HR function by developing and implementing HR strategies, systems, and processes that support business growth, workforce efficiency, and a high-performance culture. The role ensures effective people management, statutory compliance, employee engagement, and leadership capability across all stores and departments of Rokde Jewellers.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic HR Leadership
- Formulate and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals and growth plans of the company.
- Partner with the leadership team to design and drive organizational culture, performance excellence, and employee retention initiatives.
- Provide insights and analytics for manpower productivity, attrition trends, and workforce cost optimization.
B. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Forecast manpower requirements across showrooms, manufacturing, and HO functions.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment sourcing, selection, onboarding, and induction for all levels.
- Build a strong talent pipeline for store-level operations and future leadership roles.
C. Performance Management & Appraisal Systems
- Design and implement a transparent Performance Management System (PMS).
- Define KRAs, KPIs, and goal-setting mechanisms for different roles.
- Drive quarterly and annual reviews, linking performance with rewards and development.
D. Learning & Development
- Conduct training need analysis (TNA) across all levels from sales staff to senior leadership.
- Implement structured L&D programs (product knowledge, grooming, leadership, sales excellence, etc.).
- Evaluate training effectiveness and maintain skill development dashboards.
E. Employee Engagement & Welfare
- Build a culture of trust, motivation, and teamwork.
- Plan and execute engagement activities, rewards and recognition programs, and feedback systems.
- Address employee grievances and ensure effective communication between management and staff.
F. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
- Design competitive C&B structures aligned with industry benchmarks.
- Ensure timely payroll processing, attendance management, and leave administration.
- Oversee employee records, contracts, and HRIS management.
G. Statutory Compliance & Audit
- Ensure adherence to all labour laws, statutory filings, and HR audits (PF, ESIC, Gratuity, Shops & Establishments, etc.).
- Liaise with consultants and government bodies for compliance-related matters.
H. Administration & Store HR Coordination
- Oversee administrative functions housekeeping, safety, travel, facility management, etc.
- Standardize HR operations across all branches and manufacturing units.
- Conduct periodic HR audits at showroom and factory levels.

4. Qualification & Experience
- Education: MBA / PGDM in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 1015 years in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in retail, jewellery, or consumer-facing businesses.
- Preferred: Experience in managing multi-location retail operations and scaling HR systems.
6. Growth Path / Role Impact
This role is pivotal in transforming into a people-driven, performance-oriented organization. The Head HR will act as a strategic partner to management, influencing business decisions through effective people strategy.
Future Path: Group Head HR / CHRO as the company expands regionally and nationally.
