Overview
The Junior System Administrator plays a critical role in maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the installation and configuration of servers and network devices.
  • Providing technical support to end-users across various platforms.
  • Monitoring system performance and ensuring availability and reliability.
  • Performing regular system backups and data recovery tasks.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software issues as they arise.
  • Implementing security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Updating software and applying patches as needed.
  • Documenting system configurations, procedures, and technical guidelines.
  • Collaborating with senior administrators on system upgrades and migrations.
  • Assisting in the management of user accounts and access permissions.
  • Participating in IT projects that improve operational efficiency.
  • Responding to help desk inquiries and resolving operational problems.
  • Maintaining inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Performing routine audits of systems and software.
  • Supporting the deployment of new IT services and tools.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a systems administration or technical support role.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Experience with Active Directory and user management.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting system hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar is a plus.
  • Experience with documentation and technical writing.
  • Availability to work overtime or weekends as required.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
