Role Purpose

We are seeking a seasoned leader with strong functional expertise in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Dynamics 365 Business Central to head our D365 BC practice. The Practice Head will be responsible for presales, solution architecture, project execution, and building a high-performing BC team. This individual must bring proven global project experience and the ability to drive business profitability, customer satisfaction, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership & Delivery

  1. Lead the D365 Business Central practice, ensuring delivery of high-quality solutions across Finance, SCM, Service, Inventory, Jobs, and Manufacturing modules.

  2. Perform the role of Solution Architect for critical projects – requirement gathering, solution design, guiding functional consultants, configuration, training, cutover, and go-live.

  3. Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  4. Conduct project profitability analysis and reporting to management.

  5. Ensure adoption of project planning tools (Microsoft Project Planner, etc.) for transparent project tracking and governance.

Presales & Business Development

  1. Actively participate in presales – demos, proposal writing, responding to RFPs/RFQs, and building winning solution strategies.

  2. Conduct discovery calls with prospective clients, qualify leads, and move opportunities through the CRM pipeline.

  3. Collaborate with the sales team to define project scope, budgets, and delivery roadmaps.

  4. Represent the organization in client meetings, presentations, and solution workshops.

Solution Expertise

  1. Deep expertise in Finance and SCM (Sales, Procurement, Inventory, Service, Jobs).

  2. Strong knowledge in Production Control / Manufacturing, including Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Capacity Planning.

  3. Ability to set up budgets on projects and support clients with end-to-end implementations.

  4. Experience in implementing solutions across USA, Canada, UAE, India, and Europe.

Team Management & Growth

  1. Build and scale the D365 BC functional team by hiring, training, and mentoring consultants.

  2. Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions, ensuring consultants are updated with the latest Microsoft features and best practices.

  3. Establish practice frameworks, templates, and accelerators for efficient delivery.

Governance & Reporting

  1. Work directly with the COO and CEO to define practice KPIs and ensure consistent reporting.

  2. Monitor utilization, billability, and profitability of the practice.

  3. Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops from clients and delivery teams.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 10+ years of functional experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and D365 Business Central.
  • Strong functional expertise across Finance, Sales, Procurement, Service, Inventory, Jobs, and Manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with MRP, Capacity Planning, and Production modules.
  • Proven ability as a Solution Architect and Presales leader (demos, RFP responses, proposal writing).
  • Experience in multi-country implementations (USA, Canada, UAE, India, Europe).
  • Strong project management skills – planning, execution, budgeting, profitability tracking.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems for lead/opportunity management.
  • Ability to travel locally and internationally for client engagements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate (or higher).
  • Exposure to ISVs and integration with third-party solutions.
  • Previous leadership experience as Practice Head, Delivery Manager, or Solution Architect.
