Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Assisting with washing, chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients; preparing simple dishes like sauces and salads.
  • Kitchen Cleanliness: Washing dishes, utensils, and equipment; cleaning and sanitizing food preparation areas, floors, and surfaces.
  • Inventory Management: Receiving and storing food supplies, rotating stock to prevent spoilage, and notifying staff when supplies are low.
  • Stocking & Organization: Sorting and organizing ingredients and supplies, keeping storage areas tidy, and ensuring tools and equipment are accessible.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhering to health and safety standards, properly disposing of waste, and maintaining a clean and safe cooking environment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining kitchen appliances, grills, and other equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Physical Stamina: The ability to stand for long periods and perform heavy lifting.
  • Teamwork: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate effectively with the kitchen staff.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in tasks such as ingredient preparation and cleanliness.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work during various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Education/Licenses: Grade 10 passed is sufficient, but a food handler's license can be an advantage.
