Job Title: Test Manager

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager with strong automation expertise and proven experience in setting up new automation frameworks, defining test strategies, and leading testing efforts across complex projects. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical depth, leadership ability, and strategic thinking to establish a robust test automation culture, drive quality practices, and mentor testing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the test automation strategy, roadmap, and best practices across projects.
  • Implement governance and reporting processes
  • Perform all test/ management activities - resource management, monitor and control, manage risks and issues, manage quality
  • Responsible for managing the overall testing effort and deliverables, work with testing team to ensure that testing is on time and within budget
  • Manage test environment, test data preparation, test tools and test automation implementation
  • Review test to ensure that they meet the entry and exit criteria.
  • Define and facilitate formal sign-off process and procedures for testing deliverables
  • Primary contact and escalation point for testing
  • Manage and facilitate onshore-offshore communication
  • Design and set up scalable and maintainable automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Lead and mentor test engineers in automation design, coding, and execution.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Ensure robust test coverage across functional, regression, performance, and integration testing.
  • Drive adoption of shift-left testing practices and ensure early detection of defects.
  • Manage and allocate testing resources effectively while ensuring timely delivery of quality releases.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in Automation testing, with at least 3+ years in a Test Manager/Lead role.
  • Proven expertise in test automation frameworks and tools such as:
  • Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit (UI & API automation)
  • Java and/or Python (core languages for automation scripting)
  • REST Assured, Postman (API testing)
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Experience in setting up automation frameworks from scratch (hybrid, BDD, keyword-driven, or data-driven).
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Gradle).
  • Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred / Additional Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of mobile testing frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
  • Exposure to BDD/TDD methodologies.
  • Hands-on with containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) for test environments.
  • Familiarity with security testing concepts and tools.
  • Agile / Scrum environment experience with tools like Jira, Confluence.
