Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tender Manager to manage end-to-end tendering processes, primarily for Government and institutional clients (including GEM portal). The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities, preparing high-quality bids, ensuring timely submissions, and coordinating with internal departments to meet compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor tender portals (e.g., GEM, eProcurement) and identify relevant tenders and bidding opportunities.
  • Prepare, review, and submit technical and financial proposals in compliance with tender requirements.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Technical teams to gather required documentation.
  • Ensure all tender documents (PQQs, RFQs, RFPs) are prepared to a high standard, error-free, and submitted on time.
  • Negotiate with vendors and internal departments for pricing and delivery schedules to create competitive bids.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all submitted bids, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Track submitted bids and follow up with clients or government departments for updates.
  • Evaluate bid performance, analyze win/loss reasons, and suggest process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory regulations, and tendering standards.
  • Manage post-tender clarifications, contract negotiations, and handover to execution teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 4–8 years of experience in handling tenders, preferably in manufacturing or export sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Government e-Marketplace (GEM) and eProcurement systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PDF editing, and online submission tools.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with Government agencies and public sector undertakings (PSUs).
  • Understanding of international tenders and export documentation is an added advantage.
