Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer with 4 years of hands-on experience in networking, FTP management, and IT infrastructure support. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining smooth IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring secure and efficient data transfer processes across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Monitor, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
  • Manage and maintain FTP servers including setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting file transfers.
  • Respond to and resolve user queries via email, phone, or in-person within defined SLAs.
  • Ensure regular system backups and maintain data security protocols.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and updates of operating systems and applications.
  • Document IT processes, incident reports, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and network issues.
  • Support IT infrastructure projects, upgrades, and new implementations.
  • Train and guide users on IT best practices and security compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 4+ years of proven experience in IT support and networking.
  • Strong knowledge of FTP protocols, setup, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with network devices (Cisco/Juniper/HP or equivalent).
  • Good understanding of Windows/Linux servers and client environments.
  • Familiarity with IT ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure.
