We are looking for a proactive and dynamic Business Development
Intern
to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have strong communication skills, an interest in sales and partnership building, and a creative edge for content creation. You will work closely with the business development team to support sales activities, client engagement, and marketing initiatives.

Location: D-CoE, IISc, Bengaluru

Duration: 3/6 months

Stipend: Rs 10000/-

Responsibilities

  • Assist in lead generation, client outreach, and follow-up calls.
  • Support sales process through email communication, cold calling, and scheduling meetings.
  • Contribute to business proposals, pitch decks, and presentations.
  • Research and identify potential clients (colleges – faculty & students), industries, start ups/MSMEs or markets.
  • Create engaging business content (presentations, social media posts, campaign copy, etc.)
  • Maintain and update CRM databases with leads and client interactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Persuasive and professional telephone manner (calling skills).
  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing concepts.
  • Ability to create and edit content (presentations, social media, proposals).
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Comfortable with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Docs).
  • Proactive, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.

Qualifications

  • Holding an MBA
     or undergoing an MBA from a reputed institute in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Prior internship/project experience in sales, BD, or marketing is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Experience in Lead Generation and Market Research
  • Customer Service experience
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a keen interest in business development
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site environment
