Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in payroll processing and management, with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems with the ability to handle complex payroll processes efficiently.
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of payroll (Mandatory skill), including statutory compliance, tax withholdings, and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to work under strict deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with HR and finance teams.
- Knowledge of HR Generalist functions such as employee onboarding, benefits management, and performance tracking.
- Analytical problem-solving skills to proactively address and resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure process improvements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in accordance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintain payroll records by reviewing and approving changes to employee records, exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job titles.
- Manage the preparation and submission of regular payroll reports and audits mandatory compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with the HR department to ensure seamless integration of payroll activities with other HR functions.
- Handle the reconciliation of payroll accounts, resolve discrepancies, and initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Support the finance team with payroll-related data, including month-end closing, reporting, and budgeting processes.
- Assist with year-end procedures and reporting obligations, including tax returns and statutory compliance submissions.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and adapt processes to remain compliant with new requirements.
