Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Editor in Chief, located in Delhi, India. The Editor in Chief will oversee the editorial team, set editorial strategies, and ensure the publication aligns with the overall vision and standards. Responsibilities include planning and managing all daily operations, approving content for publication, ensuring consistent editorial standards, and overseeing the hiring and training of new team members. The Editor in Chief will also be involved in maintaining productive relationships with contributors and partners, staying updated with industry trends, and ensuring the publication meets its deadlines and budget.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in editorial roles, including developing and executing editorial strategies
  • Strong leadership, project management, and team management skills
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with contributors, partners, and team members
  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends and the digital publishing landscape
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency with publishing and content management software
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in the publishing industry is highly valuable
