The company headquarters is located in Chembur, Mumbai, India, and the processing unit operates from Cumbum, Tamil Nadu, India.

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality assurance and food safety programs within the food manufacturing facility. The role ensures all products meet safety and quality standards, comply with regulations, and adhere to customer specifications. The Quality Manager will also drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage a team of quality assurance professionals, and work cross-functionally with production, R&D, and supply chain teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management Systems (QMS):

○ Develop, implement, and monitor the food safety and quality management systems in

compliance with industry regulations (e.g., ISO 22000:2018 FSMS).

○ Ensure adherence to all relevant quality standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, and local health authorities).

○ Maintain proper documentation and records related to quality control processes.

1. Food Safety & Compliance:

○ Conduct regular food safety audits and ensure corrective actions are taken as needed.

○ Lead internal and external audits, including third-party audits, and ensure timely resolution of non-conformances.

1. Product Quality Assurance:

○ Implement testing and inspection protocols to monitor product quality from raw material to finished goods.

○ Review and analyze quality metrics, including defect rates, customer complaints, and returns, to identify areas for improvement.

○ Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve product consistency.

1. Team Leadership & Training:

○ Develop and implement performance improvement plans for the quality team as needed.

1. Continuous Improvement:

○ Track and report on quality KPIs to senior management.

1. Customer & Supplier Relations:

○ Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality standards.

○ Handle customer quality inquiries and complaints in a timely and effective manner,

coordinating corrective actions as needed.

○ Work closely with the product development team to ensure new products meet quality

specifications.

1. Documentation & Reporting:

○ Prepare and submit regular reports on quality performance, audit results, and corrective actions.

○ Maintain accurate records for product traceability, supplier approvals, and quality metrics.

○ Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to quality assurance.

Qualifications:

● Education:

○ Bachelor's degree in Food Science, or a related field.

○ Certification in any quality systems (preferred).

● Experience:

○ Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management, with at least 2 years in the food

manufacturing industry.

○ Experience managing a quality assurance team and leading audits.

○ In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality standards (FDA, USDA, FSMA,

BRC, ISO 22000, etc.).

● Skills:

○ Strong understanding of food safety protocols and quality management systems.

○ Excellent leadership and communication skills.

○ Analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.

○ Proficient in Google suites and Quality Management Software (QMS).

○ Proficiency in Tamil Language is an added advantage

● Certifications:

○ Food safety certification is preferred.

○ Lead Auditor training for food safety and quality systems (preferred).
