Job Overview:

Job Description: Commis III (Kitchen)

Position: Commis III

Department: Kitchen

Responsibilities:

Assist in basic food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and cooking ingredients as directed. Follow recipes and cooking procedures under the supervision of senior chefs. Maintain high hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen. Ensure all ingredients and supplies are properly stored and organized. Support the Chef de Partie and Commis I & II in daily kitchen operations. Assist in setting up workstations and preparing ingredients before service. Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after use. Adhere to food safety regulations and company policies. Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.

Skills & Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. Team player with good communication skills. Ability to stand for long hours and perform physically demanding tasks.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Culinary school training or certification (preferred but not mandatory).

Prior experience in a kitchen is an advantage but not required.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and kitchen equipment.

Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
