Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Government Sales Head/Manager to lead and grow our business within the government sector. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue by identifying, pursuing, and securing contracts with central, state, and local government bodies. The candidate must have strong experience in government sales, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in navigating the public procurement process.

- North & East Zone
- West & South Zone
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to target government agencies and PSUs (Public Sector Undertaking) for procuring Government Contracts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and officials in-government bodies, and relevant authorities.
- Identify tender and RFP (Request for proposal) opportunities, coordinate bid responses, and ensure timely submission.
- Work closely with legal, finance, and technical teams to ensure compliance with government procurement requirements.
- Monitor government policy changes, budgets, and schemes relevant to the companys products or services.
- Lead negotiations and close high-value deals with government clients.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal teams for product or service enhancements.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and follow-ups on all government-related deals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Any Bachelors degree (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in sales, with at least 35 years in government sales.
- Strong understanding of the public procurement process, and government tendering systems.
- Good presentation skills required.
- Good negotiator, Self Driven and willing to travel extensively.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in the government sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle complex government sales cycles.
- Knowledge of contract management and regulatory compliance in government deals.
- Existing network or relationships within government departments or ministries.
