Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a strong network of dealers and distributors in assigned territories.
  • Identify and onboard new dealers to expand the market presence.
  • Support dealers with product training, pricing, sales strategies, and marketing materials.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets through the dealer network.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits to build relationships and monitor performance.
  • Resolve dealer issues promptly to ensure smooth operations and maintain loyalty.
  • Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer trends.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for timely product delivery, service support, and after-sales.
  • Maintain regular reporting of sales activities and pipelines using CRM or Excel tools.
  • Identify and visit potential customers in industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
  • Promote and sell diesel generators (DG sets), AMCs, and related services.
  • Generate leads through cold calls, field visits, references, and online platforms.
  • Prepare and present quotations to customers based on their power requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales deals.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with existing clients for repeat business and AMC renewals.
  • Coordinate with service and installation teams for smooth order fulfilment.
  • Maintain sales reports and provide feedback to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4 to 6 years of proven sales/business development experience in the generator/DG set industry.
  • Strong knowledge of generator types, capacities, and applications.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel locally within Pune and nearby areas for client meetings.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in generator sales, generator rentals or AMC sales.
  • Technical understanding of generator operations and servicing.
