Job Description (JD) for the Business Development Intern (Sales & Marketing Intern)role
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports To: Business Development Manager / Marketing Head
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks and learning.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and contribute ideas for team and company growth.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential clients and industry trends.
- Generate leads using platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, LinkedIn, and other relevant sources.
- Maintain and update customer databases with accurate lead information.
- Understand the companys services to craft effective sales pitches.
- Assist in developing and refining sales strategies to meet business goals.
- Follow up with potential and existing clients to build relationships and drive repeat business.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and executing marketing campaigns.
- Help manage and monitor social media accounts, content creation, and engagement metrics.
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing efforts and provide actionable insights.
- Communicate professionally with clients to support pre-sales and post-sales activities.
- Build rapport and nurture long-term relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Prepare sales proposals, marketing materials, and presentations as needed.
- Support the marketing team in maintaining documents and marketing collateral.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
- Basic understanding of sales and marketing principles.
- Familiarity with IT services terminology (e.g., websites, apps, software).
- Proficiency in LinkedIn, email communication, Microsoft Excel, and social media tools.
- Good time management and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a dynamic environment.
