About the Role
As an Inside Sales (Academic Counsellor) at IIDE, you will play a key role in guiding prospective students through their educational journey. You will counsel students on IIDE's digital marketing courses, providing valuable career advice and addressing their queries. This role requires a passion for education, strong communication skills, and the drive to help students succeed in their career paths. You will also mentor junior counselors and work collaboratively to achieve team sales targets.
What You'll Do
Student Counseling & Guidance:
- Counsel students about IIDE's digital marketing courses, helping them choose the right program based on their interests and career aspirations.
- Communicate with students and their parents both in-person and over the phone, answering their queries and guiding them through course options.
- Provide expert advice on career opportunities and guide students throughout their learning journey.
Mentorship & Team Collaboration:
- Mentor and support junior counselors to enhance their counseling and communication skills.
- Assist in training new team members and ensure consistent performance within the counseling department.
Target Achievement & Reporting:
- Consistently meet daily, weekly, and monthly targets for student counseling and course enrollments.
- Calculate conversion rates and ensure efficient follow-ups with leads.
- Use CRM tools and sales automation systems to track conversions, generate reports, and improve sales performance.
Additional Duties:
- Manage complex student queries and handle escalations.
- Oversee larger student groups when needed.
- Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by management, aligned with the role's objectives.
Who You Are
Must-Have:
- 2–8 years of experience in counseling or sales, preferably in the EdTech industry.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- Strong goal-oriented mindset with proven experience in sales and educational counseling.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales automation tools.
Should Have:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership potential and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as you grow in the role.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in an EdTech company in student counseling or sales.
- Certifications or knowledge in digital marketing or education counseling.
Expected Deliverables / KPIs
- Calls: Minimum 60–80 connected calls per day.
- Revenue Targets: Consistent achievement of weekly revenue goals aligned with batch requirements.
- Talk Time: 2–3 hours of active talk time per day.
- Location Requirement: Candidate must be residing in Mumbai.
