We are looking for a Learning and Development Manager to be responsible for all day-to-day training functions of the company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who have a very strong understanding of developing and implementing training programs along with development strategies for the company.
The Learning and Development Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of these programs, including scheduling classes, selecting instructors, and ensuring that all participants receive the necessary materials and information prior to each session.
Role Responsibilities:Responsible for developing and implementing training programs that help their organization's employees succeed on the job
You will often work closely with other managers in the organization to identify areas where additional training would be beneficial.
Developing and implementing training plans, including creating curriculum, selecting instructors, and setting budgets
Reviewing course evaluations to assess which topics are most relevant to employee needs or which instructors are most effective in delivering instruction
Evaluating training programs to ensure they comply with legal requirements and industry standards
Consulting with senior management to determine strategic goals for training programs
Conducting research on new training methodologies and technologies to determine their potential applications in the workplace
Designing training programs that meet specific company goals while also improving employee performance
Maintaining contact with internal clients to identify training needs
Coordinating with human resources to hire instructors and set schedules for training sessions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resource, business administration or psychology.
8+ years of consultative professional training management experience in public, start-up, or corporate industry
Excellent communication skills for communicating with employees, managers, clients, and other stakeholders
Should possess good understanding of budgeting and strategic planning
Outstanding time management skills to manage multiple projects at once.
