Job Title: Head of Development

Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Development to lead our engineering teams in delivering enterprise-grade applications using modern.NET and cross-platform technologies. This role requires strategic oversight, technical leadership, and a passion for innovation across software architecture, team growth, and project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Project Leadership

• Drive architecture, design, and development of scalable, enterprise-level applications using .NET (Core/Framework), C#, and cross-platform mobile frameworks like .NET MAUI, React Native, or Flutter.
• Oversee technical execution throughout the SDLC ensuring high-quality output, on-time delivery, and adherence to budgets and coding standards.
• Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, performance benchmarks, and security protocols across projects.

2. Engineering & Team Management

• Build and mentor high-performing, distributed development teams with diverse skill sets in Microsoft technologies and modern front-end/backend stacks.
• Foster a culture of software craftsmanship through code reviews, continuous learning, and collaborative problem-solving.
• Develop engineering career paths and growth plans in alignment with company objectives.

3. Customer and Partner Engagement

• Represent the development organization in client meetings, pre-sales engagements, and technical workshops.
• Translate technical architectures into business-aligned narratives for CXOs and senior stakeholders.
• Manage client expectations through clear communication of technical trade-offs and delivery roadmaps.

4. Strategic Technical Contribution

• Lead architectural decisions, tooling evaluations, and framework selections for cross-platform and web application development.
• Contribute to core codebases with a focus on scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Stay current with industry trends in cloud, DevOps, AI integration, and mobile/web frameworks.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with different teams and Delivery teams to align implementation with business needs and customer experiences.
• Define technical scope, manage project plans, and ensure consistent tracking through tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or GitHub Projects.

6. Process & Tooling Optimization

• Enhance CI/CD pipelines, introduce automation frameworks, and adopt Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient deployment.
• Promote Agile/Scrum practices to accelerate delivery cycles and support iterative improvements.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience, with at least 4 years in technical leadership or head-of-engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in full-stack development with .NET Core/Framework, C#, REST APIs, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Proven experience with cross-platform development using frameworks like .NET MAUI, React Native, (preferably .NET MAUI).
• Solid understanding of mobile development lifecycle, platform-specific considerations (iOS/Android), and mobile UI/UX patterns.
• Practical experience with modern DevOps pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps), containerization (Docker), and cloud-native architectures.
• Track record of managing globally distributed teams and effective remote collaboration.
• Fluent English communication skills verbal and written with the ability to present technical ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications or practical experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of microservices, event-driven architecture, message queues, and API-first design.
