
Legal Manager

The Legal Manager will be a key member of their team, responsible for overseeing all legal matters with a primary focus on contract lifecycle management and regulatory compliance. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's interests by ensuring legal conformity and mitigating risks across all their projects and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including construction agreements, sub-contractor agreements, vendor contracts, joint development agreements (JDAs), lease agreements, and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure complete compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly those related to the construction and real estate sector, such as RERA, labor laws, environmental regulations, and local building by-laws.
- Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact and liaise with government departments, statutory bodies, and external legal counsel.
- Dispute Resolution: Manage and provide strategic guidance on any litigation, arbitration, or dispute resolution matters.
- Legal Advisory: Provide proactive and commercially sound legal advice to the management team on business transactions, policy matters, and potential risks.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain a systematic repository of all legal documents, contracts, and compliance records.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable, BCI-approved university.
- Experience: 2 to 7 years of post-qualification experience, either in a reputable law firm with a focus on real estate/construction law or in the in-house legal department of a construction or real estate company.
- Expertise in Contracts: Proven, hands-on experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and end-to-end contract lifecycle management.
- Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape for the construction industry, including RERA and labor laws.
Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
