About External Finance Department

The current opening is for the External Finance department of our organization. External Finance serves as the primary point of contact for finance-related matters for multinational companies, both in India and on global level. These companies often do not have a dedicated Finance Department, as External Finance assumes full responsibility for all finance-related tasks. The core responsibilities of External Finance include maintaining accurate books of accounts, accurate payroll processing, ensuring compliance with internal corporate policies and applicable regulations, and managing the financial, tax and regulatory reporting as applicable throughout the year.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated External Finance Manager (CA) to manage end-to-end finance and accounting operations for our corporate clients. In this role, you will oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, payroll processing, and supervise and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure all financial operations are accurate, timely, and fully compliant with applicable laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting Operations

• Manage all finance and accounting operations for corporate clients
• Supervise and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and reporting processes
• Oversee general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation

Payroll Management

• Oversee payroll processing for clients
• Ensure timely and accurate labour law compliances

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness in filing statutory reports and tax returns (including indirect taxes and income tax)
• Ensure compliance with Indian legal and regulatory frameworks, and alignment with corporate policies and guidelines
• Stay updated on changes in accounting, tax, and payroll regulations and analyze their impact for clients

Audit & External Coordination

• Lead and coordinate the external audit process for corporate clients
• Liaise with external advisors for local regulatory and tax compliance

Controls & Process Improvements

• Establish and maintain robust checks and processes to ensure all accounting, payroll, and compliance activities are secure, accurate, and efficient
• Drive ad-hoc tasks, automation initiatives, and continuous process improvements

Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Qualified CA with a degree in accounting

Experience: 6-8 years of post-qualification experience in financial accounting

Technical Skills:

• Proven ability to effectively manage the finance in areas of accounting, compliance, audits and taxation, preferably having a multi-national experience.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software & ERP systems
• A strong understanding of Indian accounting standards, regulatory and tax provisions (direct as well as indirect)
• A working knowledge of transfer pricing, corporate law and regulatory provisions in India
• Highly computer proficient, including advanced capabilities with MS Excel
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite is preferred
