Position: Operations Executive/ Project coordinator
Job Summary:
The Operations Executive / Project coordinator will oversee and manage the end-to-end operations of the company's Drone, DGPS, and GIS survey projects. This role involves ensuring that survey projects are executed effectively, efficiently, and within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in surveying and mapping technologies, along with proven leadership skills to manage field teams and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography, Surveying, or a related field. (Advanced knowledge of GIS ,Remote Sensing, GIS Software is a plus.)
Experience: 2+ years of experience in survey operations, with at least 1 years in a managerial or supervisory role in the drone, DGPS, or GIS sector.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of drone operations, DGPS, GIS mapping, and survey techniques; proficiency with relevant software like Q GIS,ArcGIS, Agisoft, AutoCAD, and other survey tools.
Project Management Skills: Proficient in project planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk management.
Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of drone, DGPS, and GIS survey projects across various sectors, including agriculture, construction, infrastructure, mining, and environmental monitoring.
Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
Manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and work to optimize operational costs while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Team Management & Supervision:
- Oversee a team of survey technicians, drone pilots, GIS analysts, and support staff, ensuring that all team members are effectively utilized and meet project deadlines.
- Conduct regular training sessions and safety briefings for field teams, focusing on equipment handling, data collection standards, and adherence to safety protocols.
Address and resolve operational challenges, personnel issues, and technical difficulties that may arise in the field or office.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
-Establish and enforce operational procedures and quality standards to maintain data accuracy and project integrity.
-Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements, including local aviation regulations for drone operations.
-Conduct post-project quality checks and implement corrective actions if needed, maintaining high standards in data output and project deliverables.Equipment Management & Maintenance:
-Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and inventory of survey equipment, including drones, DGPS units, and other field tools.
-Coordinate regular equipment inspections, repairs, and software updates, ensuring operational readiness and safety.
-Evaluate and recommend new equipment or technologies to improve survey accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.Client Relations & Reporting:
-Act as the primary point of contact for clients during project execution, providing regular updates on project status and addressing client inquiries or concerns.
-Prepare and deliver reports summarizing project progress, key findings, and any potential challenges, offering solutions as necessary.
-Collaborate with clients to gather feedback and ensure their satisfaction with completed projects, working toward long-term partnerships.Data Management & Analysis:
-Oversee the collection, storage, processing, and analysis of survey data, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility.
-Coordinate with GIS analysts to ensure the timely delivery of processed data, maps, and other required outputs.
-Review and approve final deliverables, ensuring they meet client requirements and quality standards.Operational Strategy & Improvement:
-Develop strategies to improve operational processes, enhance project efficiency, and minimize delays or cost overruns.
-Implement best practices in project management and field operations, promoting continuous improvement within the operations team.
-Identify and mitigate risks associated with field operations, ensuring safe and successful completion of all projects.
