we're seeking a talented Category Manager to help drive our premium product vision forward. If

A Category Manager for Meshable's new outdoor furniture line would be responsible for driving
the growth and success of this category
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Strategy & Planning:
○ Develop and execute a strategic plan to launch and grow the outdoor furniture
category.
○ Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and
competitive landscape.
○ Set goals and KPIs for category growth, including sales targets, profitability, and
market share.
2. Product Development & Sourcing:
○ Collaborate with meshable lab (NPD) to develop a product lineup that aligns with
global market trends.
○ Manage sourcing, vendor relationships, and negotiations to ensure cost
efficiency and quality- mainly of furnishing like seats, drap.
○ Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch.
3. Pricing & Profitability:
○ Analyze market pricing and adjust strategies to stay competitive while
maintaining profitability and brand positioning.
○ Manage margins, cost structures, and promotional pricing strategies to optimize
profits.
○ Regularly review and adjust category performance to meet financial targets.
4. Marketing & Merchandising:
○ Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns, product
positioning, and promotions.
○ Create compelling product descriptions, visuals, and merchandising strategies to
drive online sales.
○ Ensure that the product listings on platforms like Amazon and are
optimized for SEO.
5. Inventory & Supply Chain Management:
○ Forecast demand and manage inventory levels to prevent overstock or stockouts.
○ Coordinate with the logistics team to optimize shipping and fulfillment processes.
○ Analyze sales data to adjust inventory planning and supply chain operations.
6. Customer Insights & Feedback:
○ Monitor customer reviews and feedback to identify improvement areas for the
product range.
○ Use customer insights to guide product enhancements and future product
development.
7. Performance Analysis & Reporting:
○ Track category performance using data analytics tools to assess sales,
conversion rates, and profitability.
○ Provide regular reports to stakeholders on category growth, challenges, and
opportunities.
○ Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions on category expansion.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
● Proven experience in category management, ideally in home decor, furniture, or a
related industry.
● Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
● Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
● Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, digital marketing, and SEO.
● Ability to adapt quickly to market changes and customer preferences.
Success Metrics:
● Achieving sales and profit targets for the outdoor furniture category.
● Successfully launching new products that align with Meshable's brand.
● Increasing brand visibility and customer satisfaction in the outdoor furniture space.
● Improving operational efficiency in inventory management and supply chain logistics.
This role will be crucial in expanding Meshable's product offerings and driving growth in the new
category. The Category Manager will need to be both strategic and hands-on, ensuring that the
new outdoor furniture line becomes a successful addition to the brand.
