QA Lead - Question Upload TeamCompany OverviewWe are a SaaS company providing digital assessment and practice platforms for SAT/ACT tutoring companies. Our platform enables tutoring businesses to assign tests to their students and receive detailed performance analytics.Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced QA Lead to manage and lead our Question Upload Team of 3 members. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and accuracy of test content as it moves from our expert content authors to our digital platform. You will oversee the entire quality assurance process for question banks across SAT Math, Reading & Writing, and ACT subjects.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & ManagementLead and mentor a team of 3 QA specialistsEstablish clear quality standards and testing protocolsConduct regular team meetings and performance reviewsCoordinate workload distribution and prioritizationProvide training on new testing procedures and platform updatesQuality Assurance OversightReview and validate question banks received from content authors (SAT Math, Reading & Writing, ACT specialists)Ensure zero data entry errors in question uploadsVerify proper test configuration and settingsConduct comprehensive end-to-end testing of uploaded assessmentsValidate all multimedia elements (images, graphs, charts) are correctly uploaded and displayedTesting & ValidationPersonally take complete tests post-upload to identify any issuesCheck for formatting inconsistencies, missing content, or technical errorsVerify answer keys and scoring accuracyEnsure proper question randomization and test flowTest platform functionality across different devices and browsersProcess ImprovementDevelop and maintain QA checklists and standard operating proceduresIdentify bottlenecks in the upload process and recommend solutionsImplement quality metrics and reporting systemsCollaborate with development team on platform improvementsCreate documentation for common issues and resolutionsStakeholder CommunicationProvide regular updates to management on team performance and quality metricsCommunicate with content authors regarding question formatting requirementsCoordinate with customer success team on any quality-related client issuesReport critical issues to development and product teamsRequired QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Education, English, Mathematics, or related field3+ years of experience in quality assurance or educational content review2+ years of team leadership experienceExperience with standardized test preparation (SAT/ACT preferred)Technical SkillsProficiency with content management systems and testing platformsStrong attention to detail and ability to identify errors quicklyExperience with test administration and assessment toolsBasic understanding of HTML/formatting for digital contentFamiliarity with various file formats (PDF, image files, etc.)Soft SkillsExcellent leadership and team management abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesProblem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvementHigh level of accuracy and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience in EdTech or SaaS environmentBackground in test preparation or educational assessmentFamiliarity with SAT/ACT test formats and question typesExperience with agile methodologies and project management toolsKnowledge of accessibility standards for educational contentKey Performance IndicatorsError rate in uploaded questions (target:
