QA Automation Engineer (Selenium + JMeter)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Selenium and JMeter. The ideal candidate should have a proven background in automation and performance testing, with the ability to design, execute, and maintain test frameworks that ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Design and execute performance and load tests using JMeter.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing of web applications.
  • Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide performance insights.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure test coverage and system reliability.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
  • Report, track, and validate defects using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, testing, and reviews.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test data, and execution results.

Required Skills

  • 5 years of experience in QA Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation.
  • Proficiency in Java or Python for writing automation scripts.
  • Expertise in JMeter for performance and load testing.
  • Experience with TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Experience with API testing tools (Postman/RestAssured).
  • Strong understanding of STLC, defect management, and automation frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in cross-browser testing using Selenium Grid.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing tools (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
  • Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Proactive approach with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple testing activities and meet deadlines.
