Job Description:

As the Category Head, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our organization. Your strategic mindset, leadership skills, and deep understanding of category management will be instrumental in driving business growth.

Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role:

  1. Category Strategy and Execution:

  2. Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

  3. Execute strategic initiatives to enhance the overall performance and market presence of the assigned category.

  4. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to ensure the success of implemented strategies.

  5. Product Lifecycle Management:

  6. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from selection and development to retirement.

  7. Collaborate with product development teams to introduce new and innovative products.

  8. Regularly assess product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimize the assortment.

  9. Financial Planning and Analysis:

  10. Develop and manage the category budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability.

  11. Conduct regular financial analyses to identify areas for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.

  12. Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to achieve financial targets.

  13. Team Leadership and Development:

  14. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing category team.

  15. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  16. Conduct regular team meetings, set performance expectations, and provide constructive feedback.

  17. Marketing and Promotions:

  18. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective promotional campaigns.

  19. Implement marketing strategies to increase category awareness and drive sales.

  20. Analyze marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies as needed.

  21. Coordination with Channel/Internal sales force:

  22. Implement effective marketing strategy with the available sales force and gradually increase it.

  23. Push the assigned category and get the results from the available resources.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing , Communication , or a related field.
  • Proven experience in category management, with a focus on strategic planning.
  • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
