- Job Purpose
The Sales Manager will lead and manage the overall sales operations of Unique Solar, including solar rooftop projects, ongrid/offgrid systems, solar products, and accessories. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, developing strategies, managing teams, and building strong customer and dealer relationships to drive business growth.
- Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Team Leadership
Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team (executives, retail associates, telecallers).
Set monthly and quarterly sales targets for the team.
Monitor performance, provide coaching, and conduct regular review meetings.
Conduct product and sales training sessions for the team.
B. Business Development (Solar Projects & Retail)
Generate leads for residential, commercial, and industrial solar projects.
Develop and expand dealer/distributor network.
Identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
Plan and execute local marketing activities, campaigns, and promotions.
C. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
Meet highvalue customers and close major deals (10kW–500kW).
Present solar solutions, ROI calculations, and proposal details.
Handle escalations, negotiations, and finalize agreements.
Maintain longterm relationships with key clients and vendors.
D. Sales Operations & Documentation
Coordinate with back office for quotation preparation, BOQ, invoicing, and documentation.
Ensure CRM is updated with leads, followups, and sales status.
Review and approve project proposals, cost sheets, and pricing.
Ensure compliance with MSEDCL, National Portal, and subsidy requirements (if applicable).
E. Market Research & Strategy
Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand.
Develop sales strategies to increase revenue and market presence.
Recommend new products, offers, and pricing models.
F. Reporting & MIS
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports for management.
Forecast sales and track team performance against targets.
Present sales growth plans and performance reviews.
- Skills & Competencies Required
Strong leadership and team management ability.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
Good understanding of solar systems (ongrid, offgrid, hybrid).
Ability to analyze data, plan strategies, and execute targets.
Strong customer relationship and presentation skills.
Proficient in CRM, Excel, and sales reporting tools.
- Qualifications
Graduate in Science/Commerce/Engineering; MBA preferred.
Minimum 3–7 years experience in sales (solar/renewable energy preferred).
Experience in managing a sales team and achieving revenue targets.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
Leadtoconversion ratio.
Performance and productivity of sales team.
Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Growth in dealer network and new market penetration.
Job Type: Full-time
