Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer with strong expertise in regulatory compliance, AML/KYC procedures, and risk management. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to local and global regulations, proactively mitigate financial and reputational risks, and strengthen internal compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across business operations.

Conduct thorough AML/KYC assessments, including client due diligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, and PEP checks.

Perform trade and market surveillance, proactively identifying regulatory breaches and reporting findings to senior management.

Analyse complex regulatory frameworks, interpret new regulations, and implement processes to ensure compliance across departments.

Prepare compliance reports, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support internal and external audits.

Collaborate with business teams to address compliance risks and recommend process improvements.

Track regulatory changes and advise management on potential impact and required actions.

Support training initiatives to enhance staff awareness and understanding of compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, regulatory compliance, and trade surveillance.

Experience in risk management, sanctions screening, and market abuse monitoring.

Proficiency in data analytics, reporting, and risk assessment tools.

Excellent project management, stakeholder communication, and team collaboration skills.

High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Strategic thinking with proactive problem-solving capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or related field.

4–6+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or related roles.

Professional certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are a plus.

Prior experience in banking, financial services, or investment firms preferred.
