A Guest Relations Executive (GRE) is responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and ensuring a positive guest experience. Key duties include welcoming guests during check-in and check-out, managing guest records, and coordinating with various departments to address guest needs and feedback. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Key responsibilities
- Guest services: Welcome and bid farewell to guests, handle VIPs, and actively assist guests with their needs and inquiries.
- Complaint and issue resolution: Efficiently handle and resolve guest complaints and concerns to ensure satisfaction.
- Coordination: Liaise with other departments, such as housekeeping, to ensure guest rooms are ready and all requests are fulfilled.
- Record keeping: Maintain guest records, including their likes, dislikes, and feedback, and manage necessary reports.
- Event support: Assist with event planning and coordination as needed.
Required skills and qualifications
- Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and internal teams.
- Customer service orientation: A strong focus on guest satisfaction and a friendly, proactive attitude are necessary.
- Organizational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain records, and coordinate with different departments is crucial.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in computer operation and MS Office is often required, especially for record-keeping and administrative tasks.
- Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar role is often preferred, especially in the hospitality or healthcare industry.
