Based Location: Bhubaneswar

Role & responsibilities

To serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and railway authorities, operators, and other stakeholders in ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and compliance with regulatory requirements in railway operations.

  • Efficient management of Railway operations & commercial liaison activities and supervision duties at Odisha Zone .
  • Responsible to Liaison with Indian Railways & the divisions for Rake allotment & Commercial Freight Management .
  • Responsible to Liaison with CIL Authorities, Port, Railways for Coal allocation & Coordination with area officers for timely allotment for rake loading.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in overseeing Railway Logistics operations and implementing damage control measures to minimize damage during coal transport.
  • Accountable for managing Profit & Loss (P&L) aspects of the business.
  • Ensuring the smooth execution of ongoing coal transportation for the geography in accordance with established guidelines.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum 12Years+ strong experience in Railway Logistics (Operation & Commercial ) management & Liaison with CIL Subsidiaries & Railway Authorities (Experience of ECR Zone will be preferred).

  • Deep understanding of Coal Transportation & Railway Logistics Management.

  • Proven experience in liaison with the Indian Railways (Divisions, Zones & HQ, Railway Board)
  • Strong experience in Rake Placement operation & Waiver of demurrage management.
  • Strong experience in Liaison with Coal India Authorities & Zonal Subsidiaries
  • Commercial Freight Management & Liaising for DC waiver and Claims if any.
  • Strong knowledge of railway regulations, policies, and procedures, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, meetings, or conferences related to railway operations.
