About the Opportunity:

DMI, LLC is seeking to hire a Senior Accounting Specialist to support our corporate headquarters in India. This position reports to the Accounting Manager with primary responsibility of assisting in the monthly financial statement close and associated reporting. The Staff Accountant will play an integral role in the accounting function within our Finance department.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Assist with the month-end-close process accurately and in a timely manner in conjunction with corporate deadlines
• Prepare monthly journal entries and schedules such as prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, fixed price percentage of completion etc.
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist the Accounting Manager/Senior Accountant in the monthly analysis and reporting of consolidated financial statements
• Prepare accounts receivable aging reports and bad debt reserves according to policy
• Prepare revenue adjustments for fixed price and subcontractors' accruals in Costpoint
• Review vendor invoices and provide general ledger coding
• Assist in reviewing client contracts to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with US GAAP. Familiarity with fixed price and T&M revenue recognition preferred
• Provide support to department managers and other finance personnel in the preparation, understanding, and use of financial information
• Ability to support various audits and internal reviews
• Handle other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and Years of Experience:

• Bachelors in Accounting required
• 0-2 years experience working in either public accounting or industry

Required Skills/ Certifications:

• Some general ledger experience
• Experience with Costpoint a plus
• Familiarity of project set-up and organizational structure
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications with strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects
