Job Description: Technical Support Executive
Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Support Executive to join our team. The role involves providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support for office IT systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure. The candidate will serve as the first point of contact for employees facing technical issues and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations in the office environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide first-level technical support to employees (hardware, software, and network).
· Diagnose and resolve IT issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, VoIP phones, and other office equipment.
· Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and security tools.
· Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and office servers.
· Set up user accounts, emails, and access permissions.
· Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT support or vendors when required.
· Maintain IT asset inventory (hardware/software licensing and usage).
· Ensure data backups and security protocols are followed.
· Provide user training and guidance on IT best practices.
· Document technical issues, solutions, and support logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
· Proven experience (1–3 years) in IT support or a similar role.
· Strong knowledge of Windows & Mac OS, MS Office/365, and commonly used business applications.
· Familiarity with networking (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches).
· Basic knowledge of server administration and cloud services (Google Workspace / Microsoft 365 / Azure).
· Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and handle multiple support requests simultaneously.
· Customer service mindset with a professional and approachable attitude.
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
· Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or equivalent.
· Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
· Knowledge of data backup solutions, cybersecurity, and IT compliance.
