Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the audit work, including reconciling 26AS, GSTR-2A, GSTR-2B, Form 26AS, P.F, ESI, GST, and TDS records.
  • Monitor and follow up on electricity bills, gas refills, and other utility payments for all offices and warehouse locations.
  • Maintain and supervise all accounts and taxation-related tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and upload B2B Amazon STEP and Elevate invoices, maintaining records, reconciliation, and escalating Amazon STEP payments as needed.
  • Oversee the preparation and disbursement of incentives for all departments within the organization.
  • Handle the preparation and verification of salary registers of employees, including salary disbursement.
  • Efficiently manage and respond to all incoming emails, addressing relevant queries and concerns.
  • Prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B returns, and other entities as required.
  • Compile and maintain TDS details for TDS returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Prepare all necessary details for the annual returns of GST.
  • Maintain and update the petty cash book.
  • Perform rigorous checks and scrutiny of books for audit purposes.
  • Handle the preparation and compliance of documents for the registration of new companies within the JGS Group.
  • Prepare and verify all GST returns details for final submission to CA.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit details, tax audit details, and balance sheets for final submission to CA.
  • Finalize the reconciliation of Rosewood International and Dreamline accounts.
  • Prepare income tax returns for TDS parties.
  • Handle the preparation and filing of new GST registrations and APOB works.
  • Prepare and maintain records of all demand notices relating to GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements, submitting them to CA as needed.
  • Update and maintain records of payments received from clients, specifically for the Amazon and Flipkart teams, for incentive purposes.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various teams within the organization, ensuring the smooth functioning of their financial activities.
  • Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team of accountants.
  • Proven experience in accounting, taxation, and financial management, with at least 5 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of audit procedures and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and financial management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Leadership and team management skills to oversee junior accountants and finance staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Advance Excel and Knowledge of Power Bi will be preferred
