Continental Chef

Position: Continental Chef

Department: Kitchen / Food Production

Location:Madurai Vishaal de Mall

Reports To: Head Chef / Sous Chef

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of Continental dishes (Italian, French, Mediterranean, etc.).
  • Follow standard recipes and maintain food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Handle grilling, roasting, sautéing, frying, baking, and plating techniques.
  • Ensure all mise-en-place (pre-preparation) is completed before service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
  • Check freshness, quality, and proper storage of raw materials.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the chef for replenishment as needed.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines strictly.
  • Assist in menu planning, new dish creation, and portion control.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Skills & Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Continental Cook / Commis Chef.
  • Knowledge of Continental cuisines, sauces, and cooking methods.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Good time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary diploma/certificate preferred.

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in Continental cooking (restaurants, hotels, cafés, cloud kitchens, etc.)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15, ₹20,000.00 per month
