About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager – Wood Adhesives to lead our business operations, drive sales growth, and strengthen market presence. The ideal candidate will bring in-depth knowledge of the wood adhesives industry, proven leadership in managing large teams, and a strong background in business development and operations management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales, revenue, and market share targets in the wood adhesives segment.
  • Lead P&L responsibilities, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth.
  • Identify new business opportunities, product innovations, and channel expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, OEMs, carpenters, contractors, and institutional clients.
  • Oversee production, supply chain, quality, and customer service functions in alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to refine strategy.
  • Drive marketing, branding, and promotional initiatives to strengthen market positioning.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams for high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and safety standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: MBA/PGDM preferred, with a background in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15–20 years of experience in the wood adhesives / construction chemicals / building materials industry, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of P&L management, business expansion, and sales leadership.
  • Strong network and market knowledge within adhesives, wood coatings, or related segments.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operational excellence.
