Job Title: Workshop / Service Manager

Department: After-Sales Service

Location: Maruti Suzuki Authorized Dealership - North Bengal

Reporting To: General Manager / Dealer Principal.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the workshop operations efficiently, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and adherence to Maruti Suzuki standards. The role involves team supervision, process compliance, revenue generation, and customer relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Workshop Operations & Efficiency

  2. Oversee daily service operations including job card opening, vehicle diagnosis, repair, and final delivery.

  3. Monitor technician productivity, bay utilization, and turnaround time (TAT).

  4. Ensure adherence to Maruti Suzuki SOPs and service quality benchmarks.

  5. Team Management

  6. Supervise Service Advisors, Technicians, Floor Supervisors, and support staff.

  7. Conduct regular training, skill assessments, and performance reviews.

  8. Foster a culture of discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  9. Customer Satisfaction & Retention

  10. Ensure prompt and courteous customer handling, complaint resolution, and follow-ups.

  11. Monitor CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores and implement corrective actions.

  12. Drive repeat business through service reminders, AMC renewals, and loyalty programs.

  13. Revenue & Cost Control

  14. Achieve monthly service revenue targets through effective upselling (e.g., value-added services, extended warranties).

  15. Control operational costs, manage inventory, and optimize resource allocation.

  16. Track workshop KPIs like labor revenue, parts sales, and warranty claims.

  17. Compliance & Reporting

  18. Ensure compliance with Maruti Suzuki audit parameters, safety norms, and statutory regulations.

  19. Maintain accurate records of service jobs, customer feedback, and workshop performance.
  20. Submit periodic reports to dealership management and Maruti Suzuki regional office.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of Maruti Suzuki vehicles and diagnostic tools.
  • Leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Customer-centric approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in DMS (Dealer Management System) and MS Office.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma/Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of experience in automobile service operations, preferably with Maruti Suzuki or similar OEM.
  • Certification in Maruti Suzuki Service Manager Training (preferred).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20, ₹45,000.00 per month
