Government Tender Manager (Location: Bangalore KA)

Government Tender Manager will bid for tenders by government agencies across India, handles all the documentations, compliance processes and follow-ups.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the tenders are completed on time.

You must be an established leader and have the capability to lead people of different skills.

  • You must take end-to-end responsibility for your area.
  • You should work well with many other departments e.g., management, sales, accounts, administration, branding, warehouse etc. to improve the performance of the company.
  • You must also be fluent in English to read and understand various documents, work with government agencies all over India.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for entire process of empanelment process with government departments, across India, involving careful review of tender documents, updating management about change in terms & conditions or any new requirements, attend pre-bid clarification meetings, prepare tender document along with all supporting documents, addressing queries during scrutiny and evaluation, attending rate negotiation for approvals and empanelment.

  2. To produce exceptional quality tender submissions within deadline (e-tender and offline tenders) to match empanelment requirement of government organizations producing best possible bid for the company.

  3. Ensuring empanelment of KisanKraft products under departmental subsidy programs PAN INDIA (with departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Animal Husbandry & Dairy, Development boards for various crops e.g., spices, tobacco, coconut, tea, coffee, etc.; and various bodies like State Agros or Beej Nigam).

  4. To attend tender information sessions, develop tender response strategy, prepare necessary tender documents, and ensure submission within prescribed timeline.

  5. To map various business opportunities with government, semi government organizations & various agriculture-based Institutions across India and to implement plan of action for business growth.

  6. Proactively engaging with influencers in government departments to understand and get product approvals.

  7. To support KisanKraft authorized dealers with empanelment copies, appropriate approvals and authorizations, test reports, technical specifications, literature, and other necessary guidance to participate in various e-tenders (L-1 tenders).

  8. Ensure compliance with tender terms and conditions laid down by government department from time to time for subsidy sales.

  9. Keeping track of business opportunities across India from this line of business.

  10. Market intelligence gathering on competition in this space.

  11. Keeping track of Earnest Money Deposits, Performance Guarantee Deposits with government organizations and follow up on refunds & responsible for submission of fortnightly report to management.

  12. Keep track of opportunities through tender emails, websites of government and semi-government organizations, follow-up with sales teams across all states, GEM portal etc.

  13. Keep track of certifications from various institutions like FMTTI, BIS, etc. and follow up to obtain renewals before expiry and to obtain new product certifications as needed.

  14. Market intelligence gathering on competition in this space.

Desirable Qualification & Skills:

  1. Education: MBA, BBM, B. Com, B.Sc. (Agri) or B.Tech. (Agri)

  2. Work experience in similar role (Minimum 5 -6 Years).

  3. Good hands-on experience as an Institutional/Government Sales/Tender Manager, responsible for e-tendering process i.e., registration, payments, document preparation, uploading and submission of e-tenders with various state and central public procurement portals.

  4. Candidate should have experience in enrolling company products under government subsidy programs in many states.

  5. Good written and verbal communication is a must.

  6. Good working knowledge of MS Office.

  7. Exposure to agriculture / horticulture / sericulture subsidies is an added advantage.

  8. Independent operator and well-developed negotiation skills.

  9. Must be Comfortable in Travelling PAN INDIA.
