Job Summary:

The Junior Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for assisting in maintaining and ensuring quality standards in all interior design projects, including furniture, fit-outs, and modular installations. This role involves inspecting materials, monitoring processes, and ensuring finished products meet client specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing and monitoring quality control processes for interior design projects.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process work, and finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
  • Identify defects, deviations, or non-conformities and report them to the QC Engineer / Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with the production, design, and project teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Maintain inspection records, checklists, and quality reports.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor quality during installation and handover.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards during all stages of production and installation.
  • Support in client inspections and ensure timely closure of snag lists.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, or Interior-related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in Quality Control (preferably in interior design, furniture, or fit-out industry).
  • Basic understanding of interior materials such as wood, laminates, MDF, glass, metal, paints, and finishes.
  • Knowledge of quality standards, measurement tools, and inspection processes.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
