Job Summary:

The Junior Production Engineer will assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities related to interior design projects, including furniture, modular works, and on-site fit-outs. This role ensures timely execution of work with quality standards, resource optimization, and coordination between design and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in production planning, scheduling, and monitoring of project activities.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams for smooth execution.
  • Supervise manufacturing/fabrication of furniture, modular units, and customized interiors at the factory or vendor units.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Prepare daily/weekly production reports and share updates with the senior engineer/manager.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
  • Support in resolving technical issues during production or installation.
  • Assist in quality checks before dispatch and at the site during installation.
  • Maintain safety and compliance standards in the production environment.

Requirements:

  • Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical or Interior-related discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in production engineering (preferably in interior design, furniture, or fit-out industry).
  • Basic knowledge of production processes, manufacturing techniques, and materials used in interiors.
  • Ability to read and understand design drawings & technical documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work in factory as well as site environments.
