Role & responsibilities

  • Collect Data and make Data entry for Port information, Analyze Port Information and maintain Port database.
  • Enter the relevant data in a clear, structured and technically accurate manner with the least typing errors. Carry out Random Audits on other data Entry operators.
  • Merging and processing the various data sources into one coherent system. Data sources can include Port websites, Agent information and instructions, Marine Publications and various procedures related to port information.
  • Monitor and guide teammates to achieve their targets on time and data with high accuracy and quality.
  • Planning, assigning and reporting all tasks on the task management system.
  • Ensure tasks and projects are completed as per the required schedule to the satisfaction of the Project manager/Business Analyst.
  • To complete all tasks assigned by their respective Project managers under the guidance of line managers.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Nautical science graduates with 6 months of sailing experience as deck cadets with the required Skill set, experience and Knowledge are eligible to apply for the post. Deck officers' experience will be an added advantage.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent typing skills.
  • Must be well-versed with vessel and Port details collection requirements from Marine Publications or Port websites.
  • Good thorough knowledge of MS Word & Excel. To present any well-prepared Document during the interview to understand the candidate's skill level. (Questions based on the features and functionalities of Word and Excel will be asked.)
  • Self-motivated, independent and meticulous with an eye for detail.
  • Team player with good interpersonal, troubleshooting and communication skills.
