Position: MIS Executive & Analyst

Location: Bhubaneswar, Odisha

Reporting To: Managing Director/ Chief of Staff

Job Purpose:

The MIS Executive & Analyst will be responsible for managing data, preparing reports, and providing analytical insights to support business decision-making. The role combines hands-on MIS reporting with data analysis, trend identification, and dashboard creation for performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

1. MIS Reporting & Data Management

• Collect, validate, and consolidate data from Sales, Inventory, Finance, HR, and other departments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc MIS reports.
• Ensure 100% accuracy and timely submission of reports.
• Maintain databases and documentation for all MIS reports.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

• Analyze business performance using MIS data and identify trends, variances, and gaps.
• Generate actionable insights for improving sales, operations, and cost efficiency.
• Provide recommendations to management for better decision-making.

3. Dashboard & Automation

• Develop and maintain dashboards in Excel / Power BI / Tableau.
• Automate repetitive reporting processes to improve efficiency.
• Continuously improve reporting templates and systems.

4. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with multiple departments for accurate data collection.
• Support management during audits and compliance reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and data security at all times.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros, Power Query).
• Knowledge of SQL / Power BI / Tableau (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple reports and meet strict deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Graduate/Post-Graduate in Commerce, Statistics, IT, Data Science, or Business Administration.
• 13 years of experience in MIS reporting and analysis.
• Exposure to Retail / FMCG / E-commerce industry preferred.
• Freshers with strong Excel & analytical skills may also be considered.Role & responsibilities

Education Background

• Graduate / Post-Graduate in:

• Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) good for financial & sales reporting.

• Statistics / Mathematics / Economics – good for data analysis & insights.
• Computer Science / IT / MCA / BBA / MBA – good for reporting + business understanding.

Work Experience

• 2–4 years in MIS, Data Reporting, or Business Analysis (Retail, FMCG, E-commerce industry preferred).
• Exposure to multi-location reporting, inventory & sales analytics will be an added advantage.
• Freshers with excellent Excel and analytical skills can also be considered for entry-level.

Technical Skills

• Strong in MS Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Power Query, Macros).
• Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau / SQL preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, Retail POS software, etc.) will be a plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Detail-oriented with high accuracy.
• Good communication & coordination skills to work with Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
