Position: Legal Executive

1. Position Overview

The Legal Executive is resposible for executing and maintaining Emphorias legal, compliance, and contract management frameworks across EPC, logistics, fabrication, and real estate operations.

This role is hands-on and detail-driven, focusing on case management, documentation, contract vetting, compliance coordination, and receivable recovery support.

The Legal Executive will ensure legal processes are timely, accurate, and aligned with statutory and internal governance requirements.

2. Key Roles & Responsibilities

A. Litigation, Arbitration & Cheque Bounce / Non-Payment Cases

  • Support end-to-end litigation management under guidance of the Legal Manager.
  • Prepare and file case documents — petitions, affidavits, vakalatnamas, rejoinders, and settlement deeds.
  • Coordinate with external counsels, follow up on court dates, hearing schedules, and case updates.
  • Maintain a litigation tracker for EPC, logistics, vendor, and MSME cases.
  • Issue and track Section 138 NI Act notices, cheque bounce cases, and recovery suits.
  • Update Litigation Control Dashboard and maintain exposure/risk categorization data.

B. Contract Vetting & Vendor Governance

  • Assist in drafting and vetting of work orders, subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and service agreements.
  • Check contract clauses for payment terms, indemnity, termination, LD, and arbitration provisions.
  • Maintain and update the Contract Repository and Renewal Calendar in DEZY CommandNet.
  • Ensure execution of standardized contract templates and support vendor compliance documentation.
  • Prepare comparison matrices for revised contracts and circulate for internal approvals.

C. Real Estate Legal Governance

  • Conduct preliminary title and document checks (mutation, encumbrance, sale deeds, etc.).
  • Assist in RERA registration filings, buyer agreements, and regulatory submissions.
  • Support preparation of Joint Development Agreements, FAR/TDR agreements, and other project-related legal documentation.
  • Coordinate with consultants and authorities for statutory approvals, NOCs, and compliance reports.
  • Maintain a real estate legal register tracking ownership, disputes, and approvals.

D. Receivables Recovery & Financial Dispute Management

  • Prepare and send demand notices, reminders, and pre-litigation communications to clients.
  • Track receivable cases in coordination with Finance and Billing teams.
  • Maintain the Receivables Dashboard — aging, escalations, and recoveries.
  • Draft initial arbitration or MSME claim notices for review by Legal Manager.
  • Follow up on settlements and update legal MIS accordingly.

E. Employee, Labour & Vendor Dispute Management

  • Support in managing employee grievance cases, F&F disputes, and labour compliance documentation.
  • Assist HR and site teams with notices under CLRA, BOCW, and ID Act.
  • Coordinate with vendors and counsels for dispute documentation and arbitration filings.
  • Maintain vendor dispute trackers and closure reports.

F. Statutory & Regulatory Compliance

  • Maintain and update the Regulatory Compliance Calendar (labour licenses, RERA filings, pollution control, etc.).
  • Support preparation of documents for inspections, audits, and renewals.
  • Liaise with internal teams for collection and submission of statutory records.
  • File and track compliance submissions under GST, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.

G. Legal Documentation, MIS & Reporting

  • Maintain centralized legal records — contracts, notices, pleadings, approvals, and judgments.
  • Prepare monthly Legal MIS Reports covering litigation status, receivables, contract renewals, and compliance updates.
  • Update DEZY CommandNet dashboards with case and compliance data.
  • Support Legal Manager in preparing presentations and reports for management review.

3. Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: LL.B. (mandatory); LL.M. preferred.
  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in EPC, logistics, real estate, or infrastructure industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of:

  • Cheque bounce & recovery processes

  • Contract drafting & review
  • RERA and real estate documentation
  • Labour and statutory compliance basics

4. Key Competencies

  • Attention to Detail: Ensures zero gaps in filing, compliance, and record management.
  • Coordination Skills: Works effectively with internal departments, counsels, and vendors.
  • Proactive Follow-up: Tracks cases and contracts diligently.
  • Digital Proficiency: Comfortable using DEZY CommandNet or other legal/ERP systems for data tracking and dashboards.
