  • Food Preparation and Production: Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, menu guidelines, and specific station requirements.
  • Section Management: Oversee the assigned section, ensuring consistent quality and timely service.
  • Inventory and Waste Management: Manage stock levels, control waste, and ensure proper storage.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Menu Development: Assist in creating new dishes and menu items.
  • Training and Mentorship: May train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Assisting the CDP: Support the CDP in all tasks related to section management and food production.
  • Quality Control: Ensure dishes are prepared to the required standards.
  • Safety and Hygiene: Adhere to food safety and hygiene procedures.
  • Efficiency: Contribute to the efficiency of the kitchen operation.
  • Learning and Development: Gain experience in various cooking techniques and restaurant operations.
  • Support Staff: Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
  • Stock Control: Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and equipment.
